The death of Freddie Gray and the fallout that followed continues to be a hot topic around Charm City. November 13, 2016, several members of the Baltimore Association of Black Journalists chimed in on the media pros and cons associated with news coverage during the Maryland Communication Association 31st Annual Conference at Bowie State University’s MLK Center for Communication Arts. The panel: “Covering Conflict: Journalists Discuss The Implications and Impact of Their Coverage of Baltimore Spring 2015” focused on news coverage before, during and after the death of Freddie Gray.
