The Baltimore Association of Black Journalists remembers former Baltimore Sun Columnist Gregory Kane who died on Tues., Feb. 18. He was 62. The Sun said he died of cancer at Johns Hopkins Hospital.
Kane, a Baltimore native, joined The Sun in 1993 as a reporter; becoming a columnist in 1995. After leaving The Sun in 2008, Kane started writing for The Baltimore Examiner and later joined The Washington Examiner and The Baltimore Times.
Kane was remembered at BABJ’s February Meeting on Feb. 19 by Jerry Bembry, David Steele and P. Kenneth Burns.
Memorial services will be held at the March Life Center 5616 Old Court Road in Randallstown on Monday, Mar. 2 at 2:00 p.m.
